Stoupa has never been more accessible. However, like with most of mainland Greece, the journey time can be quite long.
Currently you can fly by Jet2 or EasyJet into Kalamata Airport, then its either a coach transfer, taxi or hire car down to Stoupa. There’s also a direct bus service from Kalamata to Stoupa operated by KTEL Messinias, departing twice daily, but it can be unreliable.
Once you get out of Kalamata the roads are bendy and the journey takes approximately an hour, but the views are stunning as you drive through picturesque scenery and little Greek villages such as Kardamyli. If you’re in a large coach you may also be able to spot the idyllic Foneos Beach as the road takes you around the coast.
